Regular use of your SmartLock (or electronic) keypad can leave oil, dirt and other contaminates on the surface.
Coronavirus has created a new invisible threat on commonly used surfaces such as a door handles and locks.
If you live in a busy household, the door and/or keypad is being used by multiple hands throughout each day. Add roommates, friends or anyone else using your door which will add contaminates to the door and locks.
You should make it a routine practice to wipe your door knobs at least once a day during this pandemic and 2-3 times a week during normal periods.
How to Sanitize your SmartLock, electronic keypad and door handles:
Using Clorox Wipes or similar, clean both sides of the door wiping down your handles, knobs and locks.
Your keypad can be cleaned with a wipe or similar option. Clean around the pads, pad border and surrounding metal surfaces.
Clean the door surfaces that surround the lock and keypad. Imagine where you may push or pull the door, then clean those surfaces.
Also sanitize both sides of all door knobs and handles throughout your home.
